WHAT IS A DAITH PIERCING?
A Daith piercing is an ear piercing which passes through the ears innermost cartilage fold.
That sounded pretty professional didn’t it? We feel pretty good about ourselves now so we’ll continue. In most parts of the world the Daith is pronounced “day-th” but the correct pronunciation is actually “doth”. Try it there- “doth”, rolls off the tongue doesn’t it?
So the Daith (“doth”) is usually pierced with a BCR (ball closure ring) and the piercings itself was first done in 1992 by Enk Dakota on a female client. There’s a lil bit of piercings history for you. No biggy. Just hitting you with some knowledge is all.
The Daith has proven to be a hugely popular choice of piercing ever since it first appeared in the Fakir Musafar’s “Body Play Magazine”, we’re constantly inundated with requests for this to be done and we’re proud to say that we’ve reached a level of excellence doing this particular piercing that you won’t find anywhere else in Dublin.
The Daith can take 3-6 months to fully heal but don’t worry, our piercer Rakan will equip you with all the aftercare instructions that you need and aftercare solution is available in-store so please ask at reception.
